Further more, the mayor and governor have issued a law making it possible to hold hearings remotely. On april 3, 2020, the Planning Commission received authorization from the Mayors Office to reconvene remotely through the end of the shelterinplace. This will be our 20th remote hearing. Reporter the protest began outside the State Capitol here around 5 30 last night. 3,000 rsvped on facebook. They chanted, not my president. The large group marched in a line that at times stretched for blocks. Police monitored the situation. They marched to the 16th mall and later to the araria campus. It was around 10 00 when the protestors took their message towards i25. Some could be seen jumping down a retaining wall to gain access to the highway, forcing the closure briefly between 23rd and 6th on the interstate. The highway was back open by 10 15. It was just after midnight when despite the huge crowd and the blockage of traffic throughout the metro area last night, there were no arrests and police say things remained largely peaceful.
