TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — It s been nearly a year since COVID-19 shut businesses down. Even with doors back open, for many businesses, it s been hard to bounce back. That s why this Black History Month, there s now a greater focus to help support minority businesses.
ShaRon James started her business Impact Food in May of 2020.

Leon County commission votes to create Emergency Rental Assistance Program
$8.9 million of federal funding for relief to low-income households
More than 2,000 families are expected to benefit from the federal money.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Tuesday Leon County commissioners passed $8.9 million worth of relief to housing assistance.
That help will start going out in March.
More than 2,000 families are expected to benefit from the federal money.
The program servicing low-income families and landlords.
If approved, the money will go to the landlord to be given to the renter.
County Administrator Vincent Long says certain applicants will take priority for assistance. ....
