Nigerians are gathering in various locations in Nigeria and abroad to honour the victims of the 2020 #EndSARS protest and mark the second memorial of the Lekki Massacre in Lagos. Various fliers obtained by SaharaReporters show that processions have been planned to hold in some major cities in Nigeria including Lagos, Port Harcourt in Rivers and Benin City in Edo. Events to mark the second #EndSARS memorial have also been planned to hold in some foreign locations where many Nigerian nationals are domiciled. They include Sandton in South Africa, London in UK, and Canada.
Nigerians will assemble at the Lekki Tollgate in Lagos State on Thursday to remember the second anniversary of the #EndSARS protests and Lekki Massacre. Thousands of young people organised and marched through major cities throughout the country over two weeks of the #EndSARS in October 2020, calling for an end to decades of police brutality and other forms of injustice.
