Jeff and Kathy Kirk are Kentucky natives who moved to Texas in 2006 for work. When it came time to retire, they were both ready to return home and they’re now living in The George at 42, a condominium building in East Louisville. “Our daughter lives (in Louisville), and we kind of wanted to get back to Kentucky and the change of seasons,” Kathy said. “(She) actually saw an advertisement in the paper for The George and she said, ‘Mom, you need to come up here and look at this. I think you and dad might like a condominium. ” After living in a house for so long, Kathy wasn’t sure a condo would be right for them; but once she and Jeff took a tour of the building, their decision was made.
