Government Boys’ school is helping
students develop interesting prototypes
ANITI Aayog initiative, the Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) was established at the Government Boys’ High School on 18th Cross Malleswaram in 2018. The aim of this lab was to give students of Classes 8 to 10 ample opportunities to explore the world of technology.
Facilitating this is MA Parthasarathi, a former associate vice president of Infosys, who calls himself a “well-wisher” of the students. “Equipment like 3D printer, Lego Mindstroms, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, sensors and more are a huge attraction for the young minds. The lab helps economically-backward children who cannot afford to work with such advanced technology elsewhere. I got involved with the school over a year and a half ago.
