2020 was, without question, one of the toughest years in living memory for small business. This has been especially true in Pueblo, where most of us know at least one business that was forced to shut its doors because of the pandemic and the government’s response to it.
As we emerge from the pandemic and begin to reopen and re-engage with one another, we are finally allowing ourselves to dare to feel a bit of optimism for the future of those small businesses which did survive, a glimmer of hope that local restaurants, bars, theaters, corner stores and other businesses which spent the past year daily facing the threat of failure, not only might just survive this after all – but actually begin the process of growing again.
