The game started off quietly enough. Following K’s from Tim Locastro and Kole Calhoun, Josh VanMeter reached second base on an error by center fielder Andrew Stephenson, but was stranded when David Peralta tapped out weakly to second base. Fedde threw 21 pitches in the inning.
