9 & 10 News March 9, 2021 Deputies say they tried to stop a car in Kasson Township, but the car took off. The driver eventually stopped on South Maple City Road and East Traverse Highway before taking off again. They say the car was going over 100 miles per hour. That’s when the driver slowed for a turn but lost control, crashed into some trees, and ran off. With the help of Michigan State Police, they found the driver in a wooded area. The driver was taken to Munson for treatment and a report was sent to the prosecutor’s office for potential charges.
