Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal road traffic collision on Ashley Road, Leeds.
Officers were called at 00.18 this morning (4/6) to reports that a white Toyota Auris had been in collision with a pedestrian.
The Toyota Auris was travelling in the direction of Stanley Road when it was in collision with the pedestrian who was on the zebra crossing at the time.
The pedestrian a 47 year old woman was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead a short while later.

At 3.49am this morning, police were called to a report of a concern for safety at a property on Dock Street, Leeds.
Officers attended and found a male with serious injuries, who is believed to have fallen from height.
The male was taken to hospital but pronounced deceased a short time later
Detective Inspector James Entwistle of Leeds CID said:
‘Our enquiries are ongoing but at this stage, there is not believed to be any suspicious circumstances regarding the death.
