This year has shown that among other things, it means sending handwritten notes to Secretary of Education Dan French, begging him to allow indoor music practice. At the start of the 2020-21 school year, guidance from the Vermont Agency of Education disallowed singing and the practice of wind instruments indoors, in an effort to curb the spread of COVID-19. But Colchester High School students did their own research about Coronavirus transmission, and with support from CHS Choral Director Melissa Towle, started a letter-writing campaign, trying to convince the AOE to update. their guidance. ....
