Several ministries and branches say that it is necessary to wait for the final judgment from the court on the issue related to the ownership of ‘Trung Nguyen’ and ‘G7 Coffee’ brands.

The Government Office has sent a document to the Ministries of Science and Technology, Justice, and Finance, and the Standing Office of the Steering Committee 389 on the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s (MOIT) report related to proposals by Dang Le Nguyen Vu, president of Trung Nguyen Group.

‘VN needs to improve coffee value, brand’

Global demand for coffee will continue to increase for the next 30 years, but Vietnam should focus on improving the value of its coffee to raise its profile in the international market and become the number one power in coffee, according to industry experts.
Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association (VICOFA) chairman Luong Van Tu told the trade promotion and international investment conference held by his association last week: “Besides coffee beans, Vietnam’s coffee exporters have also promoted the export of roasted and instant coffee in recent years.

NDO – Many opinions suggest that enterprises in the coffee industry should promote the export of coffee with high added value and increase domestic consumption to make breakthroughs and become the number one coffee supplier in the world.
The opinions were shared at a recent conference on boosting trade promotion and international investmentheld by the Vietnam Coffee - Cocoa Association(VICOFA).
According to VICOFA Chairman Luong Van Tu, Vietnam’s coffee industry has seen changes in recent years. Besides the export of coffee beans, Vietnam has promoted the processing of coffee and the export of roasted and instant coffee (accounting for about 12%).
