The Centre for Human Rights and Social Advancement (CSFSAN) has asked the Nigerian Inspector General of Police to probe the alleged killing of a man identified as Ibrahim Sani who was said to have died while in police detention. A press statement dated December 14, 2023, and released by Yusha'u Sani Yankuzo, Esq, the Executive Director of the group, said the late Sani, aka Halifa Jega, was arrested along with another person for allegedly stealing a motorcycle by vigilantes and taken to the police for proper investigation on November 26, 2023.
“Bureaus de change are facilitating money to terrorists. We have already worked with the UAE. Convictions have been achieved of Nigerians who are transferring money to Boko Haram terrorists and this also happens domestically. And I tell you that by the time we finish this investigation, the shocking details will surprise many Nigerians,” Shehu had said.
Daily Trust had earlier reported that dozens of persons have been arrested by security agents in an ongoing nationwide crackdown on suspected financiers and collaborators of Boko Haram.

The Vice-Principal of the Kadandani Community School in the Rimi Local Government Area of Katsina State, Ibrahim Tukur, who allegedly raped and impregnated a student of the school, has explained the circumstances surrounding the development.
He made the explanation in Hausa language to journalists at the police headquarters in Katsina, where he and other suspects were paraded on Wednesday.
Tukur stated, “I am being accused of committing rape and it’s true I committed the crime. I have been having affairs with the girl for eight months ago now. I used to take her to my house and offer her the sum of N300 of N500; some other times, I would give her N200 to have sex with her.
