Suspect, 20, arrested, charged in shooting of Kalamazoo teen

KALAMAZOO, MI – An Oshtemo Township man is accused of shooting a Kalamazoo teenager last month.
Dondrell Lavance Servant, 20, was arrested Tuesday, May 4, in Kalamazoo, a news release from Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety said.
He was arraigned Thursday, May 6, in Kalamazoo County District Court on one felony count each of assault with intent to murder, carrying a concealed weapon and felony firearm.
After Servant was arrested, KDPS executed two search warrants at different apartment complexes, the release said.
Servant was given a $300,000 cash or surety bond by Magistrate Nicholas Schaberg. He has not posted bond, and is lodged at the Kalamazoo County Jail, KDPS said. ....
