that conversation that you just had with lauren hog, i think we have to reflect on what she said. i m not going to defend i cannot defend the actions of this congress. i can t defend the fact that we haven t been able to send anything to the president s desk and thinking about what she said, that ultimately it s a question of congress choosing not to. we have a lot of priorities. the infrastructure deal s a really important measure and the american rescue plan was necessary to help us get through this pandemic and we need to turn the economy around. there is so much to do. but the one thing that hasn t changed throughout all of this is this gun violence epidemic. what s my gut check? my gut tells me that it s time for people to say we re just not going to tolerate it.
