Former Salt Lake County GOP chair Scott Miller, who is accused of mishandling harassment allegations, has withdrawn from the race to lead the state Republican party.
I have been honored by the very strong support so many have shown me in my candidacy for Utah State GOP Chair. Due to new developments beyond my control, I am immediately withdrawing my name from the race to become your next State GOP Chairman, Miller said in a letter Friday. Although the salacious allegations against me have made the last 30 days tremendously difficult for my wife Sharon and me, we were determined to continue our service to the Party we love by me becoming your next State Chair. ....
