Prosecutors are calling this blind and untrollable anger as the officer allegedly stomped on the mans skull. No Police Officer could possibly believe that act to be necessary the prosecution said but the officers defense attorney tells the court should smoke and drink weed in public and resist arrest, adding that civilians are not entitled to resist arrest. Hes the former owner of a restaurant in harlem charged with running a 12 million ponzi scheme and is about to appear in court after his extradition. Peralta is accused of running the ponzi scheme out of the hudson river cafe. Prosecutors say he fleeced wholesale business. Two of his victims who donated money to de blasios campaign are linked to some of the nypd officials who are now under investigation for corruption. A developing story. President ial candidate donald trump will be called to testify at a trial involving his trump university. A superior court judge called for the trial after all sides failed to resolve the case at a hearing. In the laurelton section of queens a water main break created icy conditions sending cars sliding down merrick boulevard. In East New York brooklyn, firefighters had to deal with the bitter cold temperatures while fighting a fire on fountain avenue. Two people suffered minor injuries. Two reports tonight, political reporter David Novarro has more on what the city did to help Homeless People overnight. We begin with meteorologist lee goldberg who is outside our studios, our cold studios outside. Lee take it away. Nowhere near as bad as last night.
