James J. Luczak
James J. Luczak, 86, of Duluth, died peacefully on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Essentia Health Miller-Dwan. Jim was born in Duluth on July 29, 1934 to Stanley and Stella Luczak. Jim graduated from Denfeld High School in 1952, and married Joyce Sundset on October 13, 1956 in Duluth; celebrating 64 years together until her passing in November 2020. Jim retired from the Duluth Water and Gas Department, after 34 years, working in various departments. Jim and Joyce spent many years delivering Meals on Wheels throughout the community. Jim was an avid sports fan, playing baseball, softball, golf and was the state champion ski jumper in high school. He loved the outdoors, listening to the Twins while sitting on his deck and taking rides around town in his car. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife and friends to Nevada. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Janet and a sister, Delores Hallfielder. Jim is survived by his children, Jeff ....
