Wedding Planners ‘Learn To Pivot’ After A Year Of Rescheduled Ceremonies By Rebecca Grinker May 6, 2021 It’s been a difficult year trying to help couples celebrate one of the happiest days of their lives. “It’s kind of been a nightmare,” wedding planner Laura Seguin said. “The biggest obstacle has been surviving and being able to pay our bills and getting people to start booking again.” Seguin is the owner and lead planner of Moments 2 Memories, based in Jacksonville and California. Her business experienced an 85% drop in sales within one quarter in March 2020. This year, there is still a 50% to 60% difference from her pre-pandemic numbers.

Laura Seguin, the development and communications coordinator for IGI, told The Times that now that IGI has merged with the Island Food Pantry and is moving the pantry location to the Portuguese-American Club in Oak Bluffs, food professionals at Thimble Farm are planning on ways to fill that space with locally grown produce.
