CSPAN2 Key Capitol Hill Hearings November 9, 2015

That seems to be something we could fix. These are fulltime positions. They were off moving to a fulltime position. These are fulltime, very demanding tough positions, but they are not at a level that they were asked before. Okay. Thank you. And is it typical for all to be directly even when they volunteer for position, and im sorry you may have covered this country is about im curious about the direct assignment compared to volunteering. Though, scs can be volunteer or directed. I dont believe that weve ever directed somebody inside out eba. I think thats something we need to change. I think that our ro directors, part of the problem is they remain in position for too long. I think they should be like general officers in the army where they dont spend ten, 20, 30 years at one location had become too comfortable. I dont think that is a good thing coming and that we should use our ability to move people around a little bit more often. Think you. Ms. Holliday, im curious to me and you ma ....

Didnt find a whole lot in terms of studies that have looked at these things. Theres a lot of studies that talk about computer assisted and used to design a program that could be effective. What criteria is success . Well, first of all i think it was successful in that we did achieve what Congress Actually asked us to do in 1996, make sure that it was no inequality in terms of, you know, highincome areas having classrooms connected and lowincome areas not. By the way, in the early phase, not sure that will be true of the reform of the erate, but there certainly were studies that suggested that the erate in the years 97 through 2002 i think actually helped drive an upgrade to broadband in those areas where you had erate finding. It was kind of an anchor institution that drove greater connectivity. Look, i appreciate that. I think if you look at the weight of all the evidence that came in from various groups, and you can say they ....

Much bigger and we dont want to take the wrong action. CSPAN Washington This Week February 22, 2014

By law or by a regulatory body and whose cost on our Food Industry without at least acknowledging that we are going to do tremendous damage to the hungry in the world packs i oppose that as a question but in all of the discussions we have particularly bad that gets a lot of attention it is alleged that biotechnology is harmful for the human body without any evidence as of yet been put forth except by a few that have their opinion. I think we need to take that into consideration. User fees i render that argument from my days on the House Agricultural Committee and the meat and whole tree area. You have a little problem. If you are going to use the user fees you are immediately going to have criticism from all of the folks that are opposed to the way that we produce food today. The food factories as they are called. Then you are going to have them paying for the fo ....
