At the end of the day, the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office will continue to do the exact same thing that they always have always done – provide safety and security to the residents of Lathrop as long as they are under contract to do so.

Three Manteca High students have been arrested on suspicion of thefts and vandalism at Lathrop High, Sierra High, and East Union High over the course of several weeks that is expected to cost in excess of $60,000.
Those involved caused tens of thousands in damage and took more than $20,000 worth of electronics from Lathrop High School alone.
When Lathrop Police began investigating a burglary at Lathrop High School last month, they had no idea that the perpetrators had previously hit both Sierra High School and East Union High School. In less than a week they had the suspects in custody.

Spinning donuts at intersections or in parking lots in Lathrop may be fun momentarily, but it could also become very costly.
In an effort to crack down on what was seen as a public nuisance Lathrop Police Services has impounded a number of vehicles over the last month that were spotted spinning donuts at red lights and in what drivers thought were remote parts of town – part of an ongoing effort to stamp out sideshows and activity that damages public roadways and jeopardizes public safety.

Lathrop Police Services will get more than one chance this week to make Christmas special for children in the community.
While Wednesday’s multiagency event at Target was only open to specific youth that were selected based on determined need, the drive-thru toy event on Friday, Dec. 11 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Lathrop Generations Center will be open to anybody in the community that wants to come down and participate.
According to Lathrop Police Chief Ryan Biedermann, it’s one of the events that deputies look forward to all year.
