I hope many of you have had the opportunity all week to enjoy the outstanding presentations that have been taking place this year and hope you will continue through tomorrow evening when the 7 days closes. This fair just would not take place each and every year without the cooperation, collaboration, passion and volunteerism of many, many people in the community. [applause] joining us now is senator and that are larry pressler, the request for disarmament in a nuclear sub. What is the Pressler Amendment that you discuss in your book. The Pressler Amendment prohibited aid with pakistan if it developed a Nuclear Weapon or using our money for a Nuclear Weapon and it was enhorsed by president george h. W. Bush, and then bill clinton admin statively lifted it. John glenn and i worked on this as partners. I believe there would not be Nuclear Weapons in the indian s subcontinent today. It was clear that pakistan was being given Nuclear Weapons by our pentagon and so, the United States has been a main proliferator of not only Nuclear Weapons, but of conventional weapons and then pakistan in turn, sold them to north korea with our octopus approval and so we had been a major proliferator of Nuclear Weapons, but so thats part of the passion that i have, and wakes people up to that fact. I hope youre enjoying all of the presentations, the enga engagement of the hustle and bustle of the book fair and the street fair in particular. Thank you to the organizers an commemorative partners of this important event and thousands like it across the country and the entire vietnam commemoration effort. In a year of anniversaries for this years marks the 150th anniversary of the end of our civil war, the 70th anniversary of the end ever world war ii, the 65th anniversary of the start of korean war, today we gather to remember the vietnam war and to honor those who served in it. We remember the 50th anniversary of president johnsons executive order establishing the Vietnam Service ribbon and we honor our 7. 2 million living vietnam era veterans.
