Patsy and Jorge Garcia suffered burns on 85% of each of their bodies after, they said, their neighbor s boyfriend doused them in gasoline and set them on fire in August 2020. The Garcias were recently released from the hospital but their ordeal is far from over. Painful memories play out daily while the Garcias recover from their injuries. Their scars are physical, as well as emotional. I feel a lot of pain at night, I can t sleep, I have a lot of nightmares, Jorge Garcia told KCRA3. It has been, actually, really hard.
