Today the cross bay ferry will make its first trip across tampa bay. 10news reporter Sarah Hollenbeck is live on 2nd avenue northeast where the ferry is stationed this morning. Sarah, by friday, were going to have a new way to get around town. Take its Maiden Voyage today carrying city leaders from both sides. Starting today you can buy tickets for the first day this opens to the public friday. Leaders in hillsborough and pinellas have worked for years towards this day. The 149person ferry is part of a 6month pilot program. Connect you from the pier behind the museum of history in st pete to the Convention Center in downtown tampa.
