A Lapeer East graduate and Woodchips BBQ owner Patrick Hingst, paid off lunch balances for Lapeer Community school students. How awesome is that? The exact amount really doesn t matter ($1300+). What matters is Hingst stepped up, and that speaks volumes. Lapeer County schools had this to say about the generous gesture,
“It was a random of act of kindness from Patrick Hingst. Patrick has been the owner of one of our great downtown restaurants for many years. Patrick has done so many random acts of kindness in our community, they are hardly random anymore. We are truly grateful for his generosity and we hope this inspires others to pay it forward during this very challenging time.”
