Rotary Club of Rutland ease home-schooling headaches with iPad donations to Oakham schools Published: 16:00, 17 February 2021 The Rotary Club of Rutland has praised community spirit after donating iPads to Oakham schools to help disadvantaged pupils with home-schooling. Despite having much of its fundraising work limited by Covid-19 restrictions, including the cancellation of its annual Santa Fun Run, the club set out to help children struggling during the pandemic, particularly with on-line learning. Support from Landsâ End, Rutland Grants and the Oakham Memorial Institute, allied to personal donations and a donation from previously-raised Rotary Club funds, saw 12 iPads, and other support, given to Oakham Church of England School, English Martyrs School, Brooke Hill Academy, and Langham School. ....
