The fcc received more than 4 million public comments. On the one side content providers like netflix and google which favored Net Neutrality. The opponent like time warner and comcast, wanted to be able to charge more for socalled fast lanes, faster connections to the internet. In the end, the fcc said no to fast lanes saying it is a utility. There arent faster ways to get water and electricity. They all reach the consumer in the same way at the same speed. Equal access.
