Vanessa mollie, Ames Police Say an isu female student was hit somewhere here at the intersection of lincoln way and ash avenue just before 7 00 this morning, and they had this area closed off for about two hours as they piece together what happened. Ames police tell us just after 7 00 this morning isu police , office drove up to the intersection and saw a female student lying on the street. She was taken to Mary Greeley Medical Center where she died from her injuries. Police say based on the injuries she sustained, they believe it to be a hit and run.
