Dozens of groups hit the streets to beautify vacant lots in Flint neighborhoods

FLINT, MI Over the next several months, a transformation of vacant properties in Flint will take place as dozens of groups will work together to help create change throughout the neighborhoods.
Sixty nine community-based groups will clean and green nearly 3,700 vacant properties in and around the city of Flint every three weeks through September as part of the Genesee County Land Bank’s program called Clean & Green.
Block clubs, schools, churches, neighborhood associations, and local nonprofits are some of the many community-based groups participating in the 2021 Clean & Green program, according to a Genesee County Land Bank news release. ....
