5 things to do in Westmoreland County this weekend, May 7-9

Hide and seek
Join the City of Greensburg Recreation Department for a free evening of hide and seek tag from 5-7 p.m. today at Lynch Field, 520 New Alexandria Road. The session is the first in a weekly Community Backyard Games series.
While the activity is geared toward school-aged children from Greensburg and surrounding communities, all ages are welcome to participate even parents. Preregistration is not required for the drop-in event.
Subsequent sessions include: Red Rover, May 14; Cops and Robbers, May 21; Ships and Sailors, May 28; and Water Balloon Wars, June 4.

Lamp Theatre flea market fundraiser set for this weekend in Irwin

While The Lamp Theatre in Irwin remains closed for concerts and shows because of coronavirus restrictions, supporters are continuing their fundraising efforts for the venue.
Lamp Theatre volunteers are being asked to donate household goods for a flea market from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday on the patio adjacent to the theatre at 222 Main St., said Terri Yurcisin, Lamp Theatre Corp. board vice president. The theatre’s popular “cornteen” popcorn will be available, Yurcisin said. ....
