On Dec. 16, officers at the Walton County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit executed a search warrant on a Defuniak Springs home after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Center received a tip.
Marty Scott Bass, 57, reportedly met the deputies with a shotgun when investigators initiated the search warrant. The suspect dropped his gun on the ground after several SWAT team members gave him multiple commands, according to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office. ....

POLK COUNTY, Fla. – Thirteen men were arrested in a child pornography bust in Polk County.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, deputies finished a months-long special operation called “Operation Guardians of Innocence VI” on Monday.
“We are committed to protecting our children from those who possess and distribute child pornography,” Sheriff Grady Judd said. “The men arrested in this operation create a market for these kinds of horrific images that are dependent upon the continued sexual abuse and rape of babies and children worldwide.”
