Sunshine will dominate much of the day, with only a few afternoon clouds. Highs will get into the low to mid 40s, which is still colder than normal for this time of year. Thursday will bring mostly cloudy skies, but temperatures will be a bit milder. Highs will actually get over 50 degrees in the upstate and the mountains will see upper 40s. Rain moves in thursday night. Expect light rain showers for friday morning, then the wet weather will taper off during the afternoon. What they were saying just a few days ago. We are seeing way, way colder temperatures than last week. Right now, our car thermometer is reading about 16 degrees. On friday, the ski area and Maggie Valley was not the progress and the chill came and started making snow. The snowfall from the sky makes everything look pretty, lets you think it is winter, but we have already skied 32 days this year and we would have had our stuff on the ground no matter what.
