Pilot Avoids Injury In Emergency Landing At Lake Eugenia

The pilot of a small plane avoided serious injury after a crash landing on a frozen lake in Grey Highlands on Sunday.
Grey Bruce OPP say they responded to numerous reports of a plane that had crashed onto the ice of Lake Eugenia, just prior to noon on Jan. 24.
According to the OPP, the 56-year-old pilot was returning to Kitchener after flying near Collingwood, when the airplane began to have engine problems.
Police say the pilot decided he needed to make an emergency landing and chose Lake Eugenia to bring the 2016 Vans 7A airplane down on. ....

A pilot made a bumpy emergency landing on snow-covered, frozen Lake Eugenia late Sunday morning and walked to shore virtually unharmed.
The 56-year-old was flying his homemade two-seater plane alone when his engine failed, Grey Bruce OPP Const. Rick Sadler said Monday in an interview.
