WATCH: Where the Buffalo Roam
 
SAN ANGELO, TX – The San Angelo State Park is home to a herd of bison and very special longhorn cattle.  According to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department,  the longhorns are from the Official State of Texas herd. These symbols of Texas are a rich part of Texas history and helped shaped the state into what it is today. And the bison are a part of the unique history of Texas.

The bison roam a pasture near the south shore of O.C. Fisher reservoir between Mercedes St., the dam, the park entrance and the spillway.   ....
