Remington Park’s 12-race program on Saturday features eight stakes, including the
400-yard, $100,000 Sooner State Stakes (RG1) for Oklahoma-breds.
Eagles Fly Higher and Valiant Tiberias are among the nine aged runners entered in the Sooner State. Whitmire Ranch’s Whistle Stop Cafe had a well-documented six-race campaign last year that resulted in six wins and $1,974,986 in earnings. That perfection earned her the titles of champion 2-year-old and champion 2-year-old filly in addition to becoming only the second juvenile filly to be honored as overall world champion.
