Khloella’s Garden at Lahaina Gateway Shopping Center will host a pet-friendly holiday event on Dec. 16, offering photos with Santa, and supporting the Maui Humane Society.
For entertainment this week on Maui, there are performances by the Great American Jazz Piano Competition finalist Jeff Hellmer & Friends, three-time Nā Hōkū Hanohano winner Kevin Brown and Maui Prep actors in Beauty and the Beast, as well as a Winter Craft Fair and the 50th Maui County Senior Fair.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency, the Red Cross and local community members are assisting survivors of the devastating wildfires on Maui, which destroyed over 2,200 structures, the majority of them homes.
John Stufflebean, director of the Maui County Department of Water Supply, said the trace amounts of chemicals in some samples fall well under federally set limits.
