Youth Party releases guidelines for Lagos LG election, sets primaries for May 28

…approves 50% slash on nomination fee for female aspirants, persons with disabilities
The Youth Party has released guidelines and schedule of activities for the conduct of its primaries ahead of the July 2020 Local Government election in Lagos State.
The party, in a statement jointly signed by its National Chairman Tomiwa Aladekomo and National Secretary, Mujaheed Salisu Ahmad, announced that the party will conduct its primary election on May 28, 2021 ahead of the July 24 date for the local council poll.
The Youth Party also announced 50 percent slash on nomination fee for female aspirants as well as persons with disabilities.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released guidelines for aspirants contesting on its platform for Chairmanship, Vice Chairmanship, and Councillorship positions in July 24 Local Government election in the state.
The party’s Caretaker Committee Chairman and the Caretaker Committee Secretary, Alhaji Tunde Balogun, and Mr Lanre Ogunyemi respectively, made this known in the guidelines jointly signed on Monday,
They said that it was the duty of the party to provide guidelines for its members seeking to contest the election.
They noted that the guidelines would without prejudice conform with the provisions of the party’s constitution, the 2010 Electoral Act (as amended), the Nigerian Constitution, the Lagos State Local Government (Administration) Law, and Guidelines of Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC). ....
