Lagos CP fires DPO, senior officers

The Commissioner of Police in Lagos, Hakeem Odumosu, has fired DPO Ajao Estate Division and his senior officers for allowing night clubbing at Garbana Club on Sunday.
This was confirmed by Adejobi Olumuyiwa, the Lagos Public Relations Officer.
The command had arrested 41 clubbers at the club btw 1.40 am and 2.30 am.
The Lagos State Government on Saturday and Sunday had also sealed 11 facilities including Event Centres, Lounges and Night Clubs among others for contravening COVID-19 directives.
The affected event centres originally informed the government of their intention to organise parties and events, but they failed to comply with COVID-19 protocols. ....

Airtel Nigeria Recognised by SERAs, LaPRIGA for PR Innovation

Airtel Nigeria has been recognised for its efforts in storytelling and PR innovation at the 5th edition of the Lagos Public Relations and Industry Gala (LaPRIGA), a communications industry event at the instance of the Lagos Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.
The Corporate Communications Department of Airtel Nigeria has also been awarded the ‘Best Corporate Communications Team’ in Africa by the Sustainability, Entrepreneurship and Responsibility Awards (SERAs), an award platform designed to celebrate excellence in the practice of Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in Africa.
According to the citation read in honour of Airtel Nigeria at the LaPRIGA event, the telco was bestowed with ‘Best Brand in Storytelling’ and ‘Best Innovation in PR Practice’ awards for scoring high on a wide range of parameters ranging from creativity, storytelling and proactively engaging its various stakeholders. ....
