PAULDING – A surprise decision about the municipal swimming pool topped Paulding Village Council’s agenda Monday, April 19.
Councilwoman
Lois Beamer reported the park and recreation committee met with a pool
company representative who told them the pool bottom, which was repaired
in 2019, needs repaired again.
However, another pool consultant
instead proposed “a more permanent solution.” The committee recommends
not opening the pool this year, exploring the proposed repairs and
reopening for the 2022 season.
Councilwoman Barb Rife asked if the
committee has decided not to open this year. Beamer responded the pool
needs too many repairs, plus the village hasn’t been able to hire enough ....

Tuesday, Mar. 9
8:00 P.M. Timothy Ridgway arrested Brian Saylor from a residence on East Perry Street on a warrant for Child Endangerment and Failure to Appear for Court. He was then transported to Paulding County Jail.
Thursday, Mar. 11
6:36 P.M. The officer on duty was dispatched to the Paulding Skate Park off of Emerald Road and was advised that juveniles were tearing down temporary orange fencing. When questioned, they denied tearing down the fencing but proceeded to put it back up.
Friday, Mar. 12
12:06 A.M. It was reported that a shed at a residence on West Harrison Street was in flames. When the officer arrived, they made sure that everyone was safely evacuated from the home until the fire department arrived and got the fire under control. ....
