Lafayette teen improving McCaw Park for Eagle Scout project
McCaw Park in Lafayette just got a little comfier. The park now has a new seating and shaded area for visitors thanks to one local teen.

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) One Lafayette life-scout is bringing the community a new park resource. 16-year-old Ryan Schummer just finished building a Pergola in McCaw Park this month. Schummer is a life-scout now but is on track to become an Eagle Scout, which is the highest-ranking level of the Boys Scouts of America Program.
I ended up contacting the parks department and they gave me a few options and I chose this one really because, I mean, it s by the baseball field, I m a big baseball player and I felt like this one could make the most impact on the community, said Schummer. ....
