The governor received his first dose of the Moderna vaccine during a drive-through clinic in Bismarck. First Lady Kathryn Burgum also took a shot. A second dose is required after 28 days for full effectiveness. Burgum says North Dakotans have the freedom to choose whether to get vaccinated – but it’s the quickest way for a return to normal. “Getting vaccinated helps protect not only yourself but those around you.” State Immunization Program Director Molly Howell says a recent U.S. Census household poll had some encouraging news on the vaccination front. “According to the survey 71% of North Dakotans not yet vaccinated said they will probably or definitely get a COVID vaccine.” ....
