Pro kayakers Lachie Carracher and Andrew Hemmerle splashed into viral fame this week by plunging down the raging Dangar Falls near Dorrigo, Australia.

The two recalled their daredevilry on the Australian talk show “Today” on Tuesday.
“It’s all calculated risk,” said Carracher, who sported wounds on his face from hitting his kayak.
Torrential rains powered the surging water, but Hemmerle also downplayed the stunt.
“It’s not that dangerous,” he said, but wouldn’t recommend the maneuver for novices.
Carracher has attempted similar thrill-seeking before at Dangar Falls. ....

Kayakers who plunged 30 metres down a huge waterfall in New South Wales say stunt was safe


Brave kayakers who plummeted 30metres down a raging waterfall have spoken out after they were slammed as madmen for risking their lives during the torrential downfall. 
Lachie Carracher and Andre Hemmerle fell from the top of Dangar falls, 2km north of Dorrigo, on Monday as downpours lashed the region.
Despite leaving the water battered and bruised, they still claim it was completely safe.

Mr Carracher appeared on the Today Show on Wednesday morning sporting several grazes to his face, says he has no regrets about the stunt. ....
