NSW Deputy Labor Leader Prue Car says she’s proud of what NSW Labor Party has achieved in getting women into Parliament in the past 20 years.
It follows after the NSW Liberal Party agreed to an upper house ticket deal that would add two extra women to Parliament at the March state election.
“We’ve got 40 per cent of our caucus are women,” Ms Car told Sky News Australia.
“We’ve got half of our leadership group; our senior leadership group are women.
“48 per cent of our shadow cabinet, that’s the difference for the people of New South Wales.”
