On July 31, the United States conducted a precision counterterrorism strike in Afghanistan that killed Ayman al-Zawahiri, Osama bin Laden`s deputy and successor as leader of Al-Qaeda.
Infamous terrorist and a key 9/11 plotter, Ayman al-Zawahiri was killed by a US drone strike on 31st July in Kabul. The prospect of Pakistani involvement in Zawahari’s targeting has surely raised many eyebrows as neither the US nor Pakistan has so far publicly acknowledged such a role.
The killing of Ayman al-Zawahiri proved that the Taliban might have helped the US authorities or someone might have given up information on Zawahiri for the sake of the billion dollars frozen fund of Afghanistan
Al-Qaida chief Ayman al-Zawahri, a global terrorist, was tracked to a home in downtown Kabul where he was hiding with his family by the CIA after years of surveillance and aerial reconnaissance.
