CAMDEN - A city man has been charged in connection with a fatal shooting here last month. Kyree Johnson, 30, allegedly opened fire on Lamar Maye on the afternoon of April 6 as the victim sat in a car on the 1200 block of Lakeshore Drive, Maye, a 46-year-old Camden resident, died after being taken to a hospital. Johnson was located in Atlantic City and taken into custody Wednesday. He is charged with murder and absconding parole. Johnson was being held in Camden County Jail, pending a detention hearing. Alleged shooter arrested after man found dead in car, police say Updated 9:24 PM; Kyree Johnson, 30, of Camden, was arrested Wednesday and charged with first degree murder and absconding parole, according to a joint statement from the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office and the Camden County Police. Officers were called to 1200 block of Lakeshore Drive on April 6 shortly after 4 p.m. and found Lamar Maye, 46, of Camden, police said. Maye was rushed him to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead at 4:23 p.m., authorities said. An investigation alleged Johnson was the shooter, and he was eventually found in Atlantic City and arrested Wednesday by members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force – Camden Division, the office said. ....
