For most of the time since she divorced in 2004, the 40-year-old Fort Dodge woman has received a fraction of what ex-husband Christopher Gordon is supposed to pay to help cover the necessities of their two kids, now almost grown.
Gordon owes Denman more than $70,300 in back child support and hasn’t paid any since last June, state records show. Iowa’s Department of Human Services, she said, hasn’t done anything to try to compel him to pay regularly since 2016.
