Young N.S. couple seriously injured in collision touched by outpouring of support


 
EASTERN PASSAGE, N.S.
Jessica Baker and Kyle Rice were seriously injured in a head-on collision in Dartmouth, N.S. one week ago. The driver of the other vehicle has been charged with drunk driving.
I think under the circumstances they re doing well, said Benita Goertzen, Jessica s step-mom. I can certainly contribute that to the outpour of support.
The young couple was rushed to hospital late Saturday afternoon after a car travelling on the wrong side of the road in Dartmouth crashed into them head-on.
Police say 18-year-old Brandon James Crombie is facing a number of charges related to the crash including impaired driving. ....

Yet even as the vaccine arrives in Delaware with the state reeling from a chilling resurgence of cases, hospitalizations and deaths, a debate rages among the public and even health care employees, about whether to roll up their sleeves and get inoculated.
ChristianaCare, the state’s largest health care system, will encourage but not require employees to get vaccinated.
