A Pineville man who allegedly shot another man during an argument in December 2019 will face trial in November.
Kyle Lucien Ryland, 27, was arrested by the Rapides Parish Sheriff s Office on Dec. 9 2019, after the shooting a day before. Deputies found the victim, 56-year-old Steven Wayne Saucier, already deceased.
Witnesses told the sheriff s office that Ryland and Saucier were having an argument in the area of Hog Lake Road and La. Highway 454 in the Kolin area when Ryland shot Saucier, according to a release at the time.
Ryland was arrested on a charge of second-degree murder, but he was indicted on a manslaughter charge by a Rapides Parish grand jury in November 2020. ....
