Helicopter Crash Latest: Civil Aviation Authority investigates
The South African Civil Aviation Authority has confirmed that its investigation into Monday s helicopter crash is underway.
The South African Civil Aviation Authority’s (SACAA) Accident and Incident Investigations Division is investigating the cause of the helicopter crash that claimed two lives in Durban on Monday.
Two people were killed, the pilot and his student, when the helicopter crashed into the Umgeni River near the N2 freeway in Springfield Park. Watch the video of the rescue operations here.
Paramedics and rescue workers battled to access the helicopter crash site in the water to retrieve the two bodies.
