NC cash-in-transit robbery suspects' case postponed

The case against the 29-year-old Letlhogonolo George Supi, and his accomplice Phenyo Majeng (33), has been postponed to 1 June 2021 for a formal bail application while both of them remain in custody.
The two suspects of the cash-in-transit heist which occurred on 28 April 2021 at the Kuruman Palm Gate Complex, appeared in the Kuruman Magistrate s Court earlier on Friday.
OFM News earlier reported that a security guard, who is one of the suspects, was attacked by three armed men while he was busy offloading money from the armoured vehicle. The suspects reportedly escaped with an amount of R2.6 million.
A 33-year-old man handed himself over to the Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Investigation Unit on Thursday 20 May 2021, while his accomplice was already arrested. The investigation is still open and more arrests are expected. ....

A Northern Cape mother and daughter were arrested after they allegedly scammed people out of more than R3 million in an investment scheme.  
Keabetswe Mokhasi, 44, and her daughter Refilwe Moncho, 22, appeared in the Kuruman Magistrate s Court on Friday where they faced charges of investment fraud and money laundering after they were arrested on Thursday. 
The mother and daughter duo are alleged to have recruited people to join the Namolaleuba Investment scheme in the Kuruman area since June 2020
They misrepresented themselves to members of the community claiming that Namolaleuba is a registered investment company that gives investors high dividends after every 15 days. ....
