MONROE, Mich. - La-Z-Boy Inc. announced that Kurt L. Darrow will retire from his positions as president and CEO effective April 25, after more than 40 years of service at the residential furniture giant. He will remain chairman of the board of directors, in a non-executive capacity.
Current CFO Melinda D. Whittington has been unanimously appointed by the board to serve as president and CEO. She was also elected to serve on the board of directors, effective April 25. Robert G. Lucian, vice president, Finance, will succeed Whittington in the role of CFO.
